Phil Melia Photography is exhibiting work captured in the Sichuan Province. It’s on now until the 1st October 2021. Visit and experience the ‘Saddleworth to Sichuan’ exhibition.

When you see the beautiful landscape around the picturesque Dove Stone area of Saddleworth, you can see immediately why award-winning photographer Phil Melia set up his studio gallery there over ten years ago. The ambiance of the landscape and the historic old mill he is based in, is a perfect fit for Phil’s work style and ethos.

In August 2018 Phil had the opportunity to work in Sichuan, China for one of his international industrial clients.

“I was commissioned to photograph a large machine that was being manufactured at a factory in the city of Chengdu. Having never visited China, it was an obvious and easy decision to extend my visit by just over a week to explore the rich heritage and culture of Sichuan Province.”

This exhibition of award-winning images represents an insight to some of the breath-taking places he visited and fascinating people he photographed.

In more recent times he has utilised that experience to specialise in editorial portraits, industrial photography and visual storytelling.
