Introductory Photography Course

Our course is in Worsley, a picturesque village in the west of Manchester and designed for people new to photography or who are not familiar with using their camera in MANUAL mode.

The price for the course is £85.00 – our dates are flexible, contact us to check availability.

For the course you don’t need an expensive camera. Whether a compact, DSLR or Mirrorless it must have MANUAL function to enable us to show you how to adjust the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.

We will show you how to;

    • Change your camera controls
    • Adjust the Exposure
    • Compose the image that looks pleasing to the eye
    • Use available light and long exposure
    • Set the white balance
    • Use creative techniques to make your image stand out

On the day;

    • Welcome and a brief overview of the day, 10:00am
    • Explanation of how your camera works and how to change the functions
    • Detailed Lesson plan to help you with photographic technique and note taking
    • Q&A – before we venture out you will feel confident in using your camera
    • Short walks to several locations where we will continue to advise
    • Overview of images captured
    • Please bring a packed lunch, we will provide a tea/coffee
    • The course will end around 3:30pm
